The colleges currently included are: King’s College, Misericordia University, Penn State, Slippery Rock, St. Joseph’s University, Temple University, University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Pittsburgh.
For the Medical Practice
We are currently seeking internships for students. It is our hope that your practice or organization will consider hosting an intern during the school year or over the summer. The internship would provide an opportunity for students to work and learn in an environment that will help them build their professional skills and to succeed in future career endeavors. There seems to be a great deal of flexibility with the student’s schedules. Internships can be for full work days, full work weeks (Monday through Friday) to one day a week. There is no compensation or direct costs to your organization. All we would ask is that you pair the intern with a member of your staff who could supervise their work and ideally provide each intern with job-related advice and guidance. Through this internship program, we hope to expand the opportunities available to students and to increase their access to and knowledge of career options in Pennsylvania.

"When I first began my internship at Bucci Laser Vision, not only was I nervous from having no prior experience in the healthcare field, I also wasn't sure if I could handle it. However, every challenge in life should be viewed as an opportunity to succeed and that is what the internship at Bucci Laser Vision did for me. Prior to the internship, I studied healthcare administration in college and did many projects that related to health care organizations and daily operations. However, there was something missing -- real world experience. During the internship, I dealt with daily operations for a highly successful healthcare organization. I completed tasks that were within my comfort level, but also some that took me right out of it. The internship taught me how to prioritize tasks and complete them in a way that anyone who encounters it will be able to understand the information. When I completed the internship, I had a better understanding of the health care field and a better sense of the extent of my abilities. I not only grew professionally, I grew mentally. I am now confident that I can succeed in the healthcare field when I graduate and it's all because of the internship opportunity I was given at Bucci Laser Vision."
